Good? Yes. They were always delicious.
Anything my Aunt Bettie prepared was exceptional, but my favorites were always her ham, mustard and mayonnaise potato salad, and those overstuffed deviled eggs.
I could always look forward to this meal at Easter, but it was always preferred any other time of the year. She often cooked as she lived in our house, invited in by my father after her husband was killed in an auto accident. We were always an extended family so to speak.
For her to come live with us was not uncommon because Daddy always took in the family when they needed help or care. Our house was a fun place to live as a child.
