If you were stranded on a desert island, what would you take to read?
Several years ago, members of the list Librarians Serving Genealogists made suggestions on books with a genealogy theme and consequently a list was compiled. Much of the list can be found at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~jkidd/fiction.htm
Recently, another group of readers in Vero Beach, Florida were sharing books they just read. I added the titles and rearranged the list so it was available in author and title order. I have not read or reviewed most of these books, so I am uncertain of the classification and if they have a genealogy theme. Please let me know if you feel it should be changed. AND, if you have read one that is not on this list, please send it to me.

From Karen Ramos, Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library --- You can get interesting lists of genealogy fiction for adults and for children at http://www.Worldcat.org. Using the Advanced Search:
• Change the Keyword drop-down menu to subject and enter GENEALOGY FICTION. Set Audience to JUVENILE or NON-JUVENILE (separate lists are easier to use.)
• Set Format to BOOK (Otherwise you get too many multiple entries)
• Set Language to ENGLISH (There are at least a few in foreign languages.)
• Sort the resulting list by Author
